The matter of artificial intelligence as I have hinted at in previous comments to other articles on this subject will not lead to better places and times for the vast majority of people. What powers that be basically want science to do, is to merge the micro world of particles and waves with the macro world in which people live, using the bizarre and abstract logic of the first world to maintain and expand control of the latter. As long as such is the case there will be no better futures ahead in linear time for most. The interface between the two worlds that have been built so far are an indication of the intentions of administrations: RFID-chips (one way and bi-directionally transmitting devices) and microscopic monitoring devices etc. There is a slightly disturbing analogy between the perception of the common people and the nature of the minute inventions: There is no general understanding of the process of developments and there will be none once the devices have become operational because they are difficult to detect by the use of biological sensors or commercially available equipment.

The mirrored world Google once attempted to create, will not just be useful to create an intelligent web based world beside virtual intelligence, as futurist Jamai Cascio claimed, but it will be the forerunner of total control through nano devices that serves to understand the views of the people concerning a plethora of matters. If people can not yet be monitored with their consent they will provide private information of their own accord. Web 2.0 services and after that the semantic web will be excellent methods to send and receive information to the devices carried by or built into people. The increase of the density of hotspots will make people fit to be monitored and kept under control nearly everywhere they go in the advanced societies of this world.

You think this is paranoia? Allow me to give you a link to an article of Professor Eric R. Pianka of the University of Texas who proposed in a speech to the Texas Academy of Science to eliminate 90% of the world population by means of airborne Ebola because he believes human overpopulation is ruining the world. After his speech he receive a prolonged standing ovation from his peers and students. These people are the future scientists of this world. Do you really believe that once they have the possibility to monitor you and control your conduct by the devices and systems mentioned in this scribbling that they will have any consideration at all for whatever you cherish? Think again, read about professor Pianka and shudder: http://www.sas.org/tcs/weeklyIssues_2006/2006-04-07/feature1p/index.html

Have a nice day.
