1. XS4ALL opens new webshop
2. Price reductions for Advanced Website and domain name
3. Helpdesk tips
4. Chance to win a free ticket for Glitched
XS4ALL has opened a new online shop. At the moment, the product range is still modest, comprising a number of useful products to make life easier when using the internet and computers. The items have been selected by XS4ALL and are attractively priced. Naturally, we have devoted a great deal of attention to creating a secure webshop environment.
From these small beginnings we plan to expand the shop by continually adding new products and functionalities. You can reach the shop via the dropdown menu under 'Products' on our website. We are keen to hear your opinion and suggestions for new products, so please let us know what you think!

Setting up a professional website at XS4ALL is now even more attractive. On 1 February 2009, the price of an Advanced Website was reduced from € 36.50 to € 29.95 per month (excluding VAT). The price reduction applies to both the UNIX and the Windows versions. The new price will be charged automatically to existing Advanced Website subscribers. You do not need to take any action.
There is also good news for domain name holders: on 1 January 2009, XS4ALL reduced the price of domain name registration and broking from € 51.25 to € 30.00 per year (excluding VAT). If you are an existing user of one of these services, you will find the lower price automatically on your next bill. You do not need to take any action.

* Make a note of your customer number
If you contact the helpdesk, always state your customer number. You will find your customer number (relatienummer) on your bill and on your online bill in the Service Centre. Go to https://service.xs4all.nl, select ‘persoonlijke gegevens’ (personal details) and log in. Click on ‘facturen inzien’ (view bills). Your customer number is shown next to your name and address.
* Forgotten your password?
XS4ALL employees do not know your password, because it is encrypted for reasons of security and privacy. You can of course obtain a new password from us. You can do so in two ways:
- By calling the password machine. This is accessible 24 hours a day by telephone on 020-3987667. Make sure you have your customer number to hand.
- Through our website. As long as you are still receiving e-mail, you can request a new password at https://service.xs4all.nl/?mod=password_reset. Enter your login name and you will receive an e-mail with a link to request a new password. Click on the link, enter your customer number, postcode and house number and choose a new password.
* Problems with your internet connection?
We recommend that you switch off your modem, wait 20 seconds and then switch it on again. If this does not solve the connection problem, contact our helpdesk. So that we can help you efficiently, please be at your computer when you call. Make sure you always have your login name or customer number to hand.
* Telephone queue indicator
On our website you can see how busy the telephone lines to the helpdesk are. That means you can choose a quiet time to make your call. You will find the telephone queue indicator in the right-hand column at http://www.xs4all.nl/helpdesk/
XS4ALL is sponsoring Glitched, the first Nerdcore event in the Netherlands. It will take place on Thursday 26 February at Club Panama in Amsterdam. The film 'Nerdcore For Life' will have its European première that evening. There will also be appearances by the popular American Nerdcore rappers MC Lars, YTCracker, MC Router and Beefy.
Nerdcore is a movement within hip hop, with music and lyrics based on subjects such as the internet, computers, video games, science fiction, programming, technology and comic strips. Nerdcore is hot in the US and is now conquering Europe. XS4ALL has free tickets to give away. If you would like to go to Glitched, send an e-mail to nerdcore@xs4all.nl.
