Who we are
XS4ALL was founded by a group of internet pioneers in 1993. Since then it has grown to become the quality internet service provider for businesses and consumers in the Netherlands. XS4ALL stands for excellent service, secure, high-quality internet services and social engagement.
Service
The internet must be available continuously. Our priority is to deliver stable and reliable internet access. We like to work with our customers to meet their needs. Customers who contact us by telephone can always obtain information and advice from a professional member of staff. If something goes wrong, customers are not left to cope on their own. XS4ALL has an excellent helpdesk and provides extensive online support. If necessary, we will send an engineer to the customer's premises. If the problem has been caused by the internet connection or the modem, XS4ALL will meet the costs of the engineer's visit.
Security
There are hundreds of servers in our highly secure system areas. Everything there revolves around security, reliability and speed. XS4ALL has one of the most secure networks. Critical servers are deployed redundantly and are actively monitored 24 hours a day. Virus filters automatically scan all e-mail. XS4ALL employs a dedicated Security Officer who ensures that all our services meet the highest security standards. To help customers secure their own computers, XS4ALL offers:
- A security package (firewall, virus scanner and spam filter)
- A useful checklist and detailed advice on its security pages
- Security training courses
Critical testing
Technical quality depends not only on the best equipment but also on the people who operate it. XS4ALL has accumulated a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise. We carry out a lot of development in house, using Open Source software as far as possible. Our engineers are the most critical users and testers of our products and services. We also consider ourselves fortunate to have so many committed customers who test our products and services and contribute their own ideas. XS4ALL regularly emerges as the best in tests conducted by organisations such as the Dutch Consumers' Association and the independent research agency iPing Research.

Social vision of the internet
The internet is also a social phenomenon. It connects us to the world and the world to us. It enables everyone to make their voice heard and thereby promotes democracy. With that in mind, we not only work hard to deliver superior technology, but also think about the consequences. We are critical and not afraid of debate. We argue in favour of privacy and freedom, individual responsibility and the free exchange of ideas and opinions.
